Nanoplasty: the professional guide to the treatment, the protocol and the training

The short answer

Nanoplasty is a professional hair smoothing treatment that uses small, low-molecular-weight active ingredients — in the Vitta Gold system, arginine-based Nanoplex Arginina™ — to realign the hair fibre without formaldehyde. It is applied strand by strand and sealed with controlled heat, and the technique is adjustable: the same system can deliver a fully straight, 100% smooth result on any hair type — including the most resistant and highly textured hair — or a softer, natural anti-frizz finish with movement, depending on how the professional works the application and the sealing.

What is nanoplasty?

Nanoplasty is a professional hair smoothing treatment that uses small, low-molecular-weight active ingredients — in the Vitta Gold system, arginine-based Nanoplex Arginina™ — to realign the hair fibre without formaldehyde. It is applied strand by strand and sealed with controlled heat, and the technique is adjustable: the same system can deliver a fully straight, 100% smooth result on any hair type — including the most resistant and highly textured hair — or a softer, natural anti-frizz finish with movement, depending on how the professional works the application and the sealing.

The word describes a category, not a single branded product. Two salons can both advertise nanoplasty and work with completely different chemistry, which is why the professional conversation is always about the actives, the pH and the protocol — never about the name on the bottle.

Is nanoplasty the same as nanoplastia?

Yes. Nanoplasty, nanoplastia and nanoplastie are the same technique written in three languages — English, Portuguese/Spanish and French. Search volume splits across all three spellings, but the treatment, the actives and the protocol are identical. Vitta Gold Academy uses Nanoplastia as the technical term throughout its training.

How does the nanoplasty protocol work?

Every professional nanoplasty service follows the same six stages. Skipping or reordering them is the single most common cause of a failed result, and processing is the stage most often cut short — it needs 40 to 60 minutes.

  1. 1Diagnosis — assess porosity, elasticity, chemical history and scalp condition before anything is mixed.
  2. 2Deep cleansing — open the cuticle with the pre-treatment wash your system specifies, so the active can reach the cortex and cuticle evenly. A gentle cuticle-opening shampoo such as the Nanoplex Arginina™ pre-treatment is enough; an aggressive clarifier is not always the right choice.
  3. 3Application — apply strand by strand, respecting the root distance and the density of each section.
  4. 4Processing — respect the full processing time; the reaction is chemical, not visual.
  5. 5Sealing — dry fully, then flat-iron in thin, controlled passes to lock the realignment.
  6. 6Finishing and homecare — neutralise, finish, and hand the client a homecare routine that protects the result.

The order matters more than the speed

Most beginners do not fail at nanoplasty. They fail at the order of the starting steps — diagnosis rushed, cleansing skipped, sealing done at the wrong temperature.

Is nanoplasty a keratin or protein treatment?

Keratin, protein, botox, Brazilian blowout and Nanoplastia are commercial names for the same broad family: chemical hair smoothing. A Nanoplastia formula containing hydrolysed keratin is also, correctly, a keratin treatment; one built on hydrolysed proteins is also a protein treatment. What separates services is the smoothing active — glyoxylic acid, carbocysteine, pyrogallol, amino acid blends, formaldehyde and its releasers — and the quality of the raw materials. Nanoplex Arginina™ Amino Fusion combines amino-acid keratin, hydrolysed proteins and Nanoplastia technology, so it fits every one of those labels and differentiates itself on quality, safety and performance.

Can nanoplasty be used on bleached or coloured hair?

It can, but only after a proper diagnosis and a strand test. Bleached hair has higher porosity and lower elasticity, so it absorbs the active faster and tolerates less heat. The professional decision is about processing time and iron temperature, not about whether the service is possible at all.

Order matters: nanoplasty comes first, then colour, bleaching or any other chemistry after a safety interval — never in the same appointment. On blonde, coloured and bleached hair, a formula with colour-protection technology (toning Violet Acid, as in Nanoplex Arginina™ Amino Fusion) delivers the best result, and any tonal correction afterwards should use a safe ammonia-free toner. How do stylists get trained in nanoplasty?

There is no single global licensing body for nanoplasty; stylists learn it through manufacturer and academy training. The Nanoplastia Professional System™ from Vitta Gold Academy is an online certification of 9 video lessons with 3 bonus guides, a digital Vitta Gold Academy certificate, lifetime access, one year of the Vitta Gold Experts partner program and a 7-day money-back guarantee, for $99 USD.

A technical credential that complements your licence

The certificate is issued by Vitta Gold Academy and documents technical training in the Nanoplastia Professional System™ — designed to sit alongside your cosmetology licence or state-board credential and add a premium smoothing service to what you already offer.

Yes. Nanoplasty, nanoplastia and nanoplastie are the same technique spelled in English, Portuguese/Spanish and French. The actives and the protocol are identical.

Does nanoplasty contain formaldehyde?

It depends on the formula used. The Nanoplex Arginina™ system used in Vitta Gold Academy training is arginine-based and formaldehyde-free, and is intended for professional use.

How long does a nanoplasty service take?

It varies with hair length, density and porosity. The professional rule is to follow the full processing and sealing times of the protocol rather than a fixed clock — shortening them is what compromises the result.

Can I learn nanoplasty online?

Yes. The Nanoplastia Professional System™ is an online certification with 9 video lessons, 3 bonus guides, a digital certificate, lifetime access and a 7-day money-back guarantee, for $99 USD.
